Learning and growing again

I had the pleasure of having McKenna and her friend Dylan overnight last night.

They had a great time.  They spent the night with us.  Both didn’t get a nap, and they finally decided they’d had enough fun with each other to give it up and go to sleep around 10:30.

Today, I was going to go to watch Alex play baseball today down in Fort Smith, but when I went to go, I didn’t have my car keys.  Bryan did, and he flew this morning to see his brother.  So I go to use my other car, the one that was driven behind the coach on the Florida trip.  It was dead.  Poor thing probably needs a new battery.

Anyway, so making lemonade out of lemons, I’m going to be taking some classes on blogging, and on YouTube.  One of the challenges is to make a video and to post on Facebook.  I did it.  It’s harder than one would think.  It’s done.  Talk about getting out of my comfort zone.  But if you don’t grow, you won’t glow! Just kidding.

Someone said you don’t have to be GREAT to start, you you have to START to be Great.

Employed or Self Employed?

This morning I woke up to the cough that Bryan has.  I’m thinking, I sure am glad that I don’t have to go to a job today.  I do have little Adam, my grandson who is a week apart from Mckenna.  They are both turning 3.

I am lucky in the fact that the path I have chosen, allows me to decide my time line.  I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart.  I remember when I was little at my Grandma and Grandpa’s house for get togethers.  All the Men would go to one end of the house, my Grandpas more manly side and the women would go to the more feminine side of the house.  I was the oldest of 5 kids, and my uncle had 4 kids.  Guess where you would find me?    I’d be sitting right next to my Grandpa and all his brothers, talking business.

My Grandpa invented the auger system, to bring coal up where they needed it.  They built their own home and after my Grandma died, I found out they were considered well off.  As a kid, I never felt that attitude from them.  Anyway, getting off my subject, I wanted to be just like them.

I kinda am, in the sense that I don’t have to work.  I’ve always worked.  I don’t really consider babysitting work! That’s pleasure with a small monitary  bonus!

Since starting the Enagic water business, not just drinking the water for over a year, but actually making the commitment to share the water, I feel like I have benefited so much.  As you know, I didn’t want any part of it.  I just stumbled onto making 280.00 on a machine, for doing basically nothing in my mind.

Some people think I’m crazy, but forget them.  Who cares if somebody thinks your crazy.  It’s really just thinking outside the box and as I call it, feeding the adrenaline junkie which I now know is alive and well, and stronger than ever inside me!

When I made the 280.00 per machine, I thought, wow, I can do this.  But this time, I’m going to only use the money I get from the company, and turn it back into building the business.  Like Business cards, labels for the jugs, the water bottle I drink out of, and most importantly, a website that offers the customer or client, to be able to purchase the machine, from anywhere in the world!  The EWS website only cost 30.00 a month.  When I did real estate I was paying 300.00 a month for similar.  So I used my first commission on purchasing the website for a year at 300.00 saving money, but also elimating the stress of the money going out every month.

I played with it for awhile and then got with Eric at EWS.  I watched his videos, that teach you how to do social media, to drive traffic to the website.  This has been an amazing journey so far, and the best is yet to come.  Even if all of this didn’t work out, the knowledge I’ve learned so far could be turned into a lucrative business, helping other businesses do the same.

Don’t you just love Win-Win situations!

Tuesday, usually my Hair and other appointments Day

No McKenna on Monday or today!  She’s now going to day care.  She’s been such a big part of my life the last almost 3 years.  I love her to pieces, and it’s such a, let’s say new quiet experience! (Except for Molly, our Maltice!)

Today I got my teeth cleaned (always fun) not! And my eyes examined.  All is good.  My eyes are the same, I was hoping for, my eyes were better.  My teeth are great and she’s seeing improvement in my gums from rinsing with the 2.5 Kangen water after brushing.  As a kid I had gum disease and it plagued me into adulthood, till I started seeing Dr. Marcus Black who is totally awesome and I wouldn’t let anyone else touch them.

Yesterday, I got a lot done, including ordering my new Anespa, by Enagic Kangen Water Co.  I have not tried one, and my belief system is, you can’t sell what you yourself personally, haven’t tried.  How many receptionists do you know, that when you ask them if they have tried what ever “it” is and they say no.  Really?  How can they possibly share in your excitement, if they haven’t tried it.  That’s why I purchased the Anespa.  It’s supposed to be like a hot springs mineral bath.  I don’t know that for a fact, but I will soon and let you know.  Others swear by it, saying it helps skin rashes, brown spots, freckles (which seems a stretch to me but we’ll see).  You can look on the website, and see what it says about it.  Www.alkalizingyourwater.com and sign up for the free Ebook.  If you do, I’ll send you a million dollars, not!

We went to the Hot Spring pools in the South Island of New Zealand.  It was beautiful and about 60ish degrees.  It was so nice in the pools, till it was time to get out!  OMG, that part was awful.  I was shaking, I ran in to get a warm shower.  Here, it will be nice and warm in my own bathroom. Yay!  If you live around me, I will let you try it out at your own home.  Who knows, you too may want one.  (I’m starting to sound like a commercial! Lol.

 Oops, hold on….

I was interrupted by the door.  It was the guys putting on the shingles on the roof.  We had hail a while back.  They looked sad.  I asked what’s up, they told me that a pack of the shingles fell down and broke my black (almost 400.00) flower pot that I was going to try to get planted soon.

Check that off my to do list.

Bryan had opened the garage door so the guys could take a picture of the Fisker (electric hybrid sports car).  The pot and dirt were sitting inches away from the car.  In the grand scheme of things, my flower pot took one for the team.  The guys felt really bad and helped me clean it all up.  All is good.  I gave them my blog info and business card incase they got fired when they got back to work! Just kidding about being fired.  We would never do that to anybody, but we sure know people who would.  It’s not like he said, here, let’s throw this on the black pot.  Anyway, I’m just so thankful they both helped to clean up the mess.

Speaking of thankful, I really appreciate the people who are following my blog.  Thanks to those even out of the States.  Wordpress has stats, and I’m just so happy that you are taking the time to read this.

Whether your thinking I’m just nuts or kinda cool, I appreciate you either way.    Remember, you can leave a comment, good or bad, it won’t stop me.  Have a great night!

Sunday, isn’t it a great day?

Reflecting on the the past few months, I feel truly blessed!  I know that God has great things in store for me. (Hopefully for those around me and those who dare to follow me in my water venture as well)

Anyone who knows me, I’ve had McKenna since she was a tiny baby, while Mommy and Daddy have been at work.  I love her soooo much and her and I have been connected at the hip.  She is soon going to be three, on May 3rd actually!  She is smart as a 5-6 year old.  I’ve had people ask me, is she in school?  She is quite tall for her age since Mommy is tall too.

Readers of my blog will know she was with me on our trip to FL, along with her friend Melody.  They are best friends. Melody has two older brothers who like to pick on her, and she’s learned how to pick back quite well.  McKenna on the other hand is an only child, who hasn’t had to share or compete for Grandmas attention.  Get the picture?  We survived the trip, ok.  Everyone still loves everyone, at least I think so. 😀

So, we learned some things from this trip.  Mommy and Daddy wanted to have dinner with us Friday night and it was great!  After we were done, Daddy has to bring up a subject they didn’t know how I was going to react to.

Before I tell you what the subject was, let me tell you about my Friday.  The night before we had dinner with friends of ours from Bentonville Towing, Darrel and Carrie.  It was great, in conversation the subject of the water came up.  I offered to take her a couple of jugs on Friday and drop them at her office.  Well, I don’t have McKenna on Fridays, and when I dropped off the water, both Darrell and Carrie were there.  They were asking me questions and I showed them my EWS website and a video on the website.  She asked him if they could buy a machine, and he said, if we do I don’t want to see you buy any more of that bottled water.  She agreed.  I just smiled.  It was cute watching them together.  So basically a few clicks on the website and her machine is on the way.  She favorited the website and went in to buy one of the really nice water Kor bottles with Enagic on it.  I was so happy for them to be able to have a machine (SD501p) too.

I’m thinking man, I’d love to have more time to spend doing this!  When I’m with McKenna, it’s all about her! Which I love, but made me think, wow, what could I do with more time!

Back to dinner Friday night.  Daddy was thanking me for everything I’ve done for their precious little girl, BUT

They think it’s time she be able to go to day care to learn to be with other kids.  OH Man, I can’t tell you how relieved I was when they said that.  It’s the one thing Grandma can’t give her, and our trip showed me how much she needed exactly that.  Isn’t God great, how every step is carefully planned and we don’t know the plan until we can look back in the rear view mirror?

So I can have her if there’s something I want to do, but that I can think about my life now.  So if you would like to follow me on my new journey, please do. Check out my website www.alkalizingyourwater.com  If not, it’s ok too.  We just need to enjoy life and each other.  Life is Good

Safe and sound, from the end of our Florida Trip

This is what I woke up to this morning! Just Glorious

Things lightened up on the trip, with the most precious cargo, now having gone home in Papas plane. Lyric and Molly, our dog, went on the plane as well.  It was so quiet.  Two more days on the road after they left.  I won’t bore you with the negative stuff, other than to make a mental note, that if someone’s going to be sick on board, kick them out! (even me!)  Even after having to clean out the bottom, it didn’t help. 😝

We had a good time anyway.  So greatful no one was hurt.  It could have been a totally different day today.

I used all but one of the 5 gallons of Kangen 9.5 water I brought with me.  I drank some straight out of the machine this morning and I could tell the difference in about 15 minutes in my skin.  So it is true that the water does lose some of its properties, as far as the anti-oxidants. I’ve been spoiled for over a year, being able to drink directly out of the machine.

It’s funny, I was selling MonaVie, (Acai berry juice) back in 06,07.  A friend told me, you will never be able to sell the idea of anti-oxidants.  Really?  I think it caught on really well and I’m so proud to be helping people aquire a machine to make this fabulous Anti-oxidant Kangen Water at home.  Check out my  Website for more info and sign up for the free Ebook.  It’s filled with good information.

Again, thank you all my prayer warriors during our trip.  I know it made a big difference!

#1BostonDay

I’d like to just take a minute out of our travel day, to send thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of all those who died on that day.  May God help get you through each day, because no words can help the loss of a loved one.  It’s s journey, and one that only you can decide how it goes.  Anger, or Greatfulness.  I chose gratefulness and hope you can to.  Please feel free to comment here.  Sometimes writing, helps. Love to all

Day 9

Well, I feel better!  Waiting to see if anyone else is sick.  Nope, good to go. What time is it? Yup 11:00 straight up.  Really?

Full of fuel, check! Water check! Everyone on board! Ok let’s go

Going down the road, I just remembered, I didn’t shut the lights off on the car because I was so sick when we quit the night before.  I pulled off on the next exit so I could check and sure enough, the car is DEAD.  So, we are looking for a jump pack, supposed to be on board, can’t find it.  Call Bryan, he said just go into the storage unit below the coach and put on a new light.  Duh, we are in a coach with TowMate written all over it.  Oh my goodness!  I figured, next truck stop someone could help is.

Driving continues. For maybe an hour. There was a semi ahead of me in the right lane and I’m in the left lane behind him.  There was plenty of room until a Milk truck racing through and basically cuts in between us and starts coming into my lane.  I move over as much as I can.  There is no shoulder on either side.  OMG he hit our front quarter panel and I had all I could do to keep the coach on the road.  He just kept on going.  I honked the horn to no avail.  Maybe he didn’t realize what he did, but now, I have no brakes!  I tried for the pac brake, the top was off, must have reached for it and knocked it off.  I would try and NO BRAKES.  We are barreling down the freeway at 70 miles an hour and no damn brakes.  I’m honking, trying to get people out of the way, I must have switched lanes 3 or 4 times trying to avoid the cars ahead that didn’t know we were in trouble.  We went up a small incline, that helped, but it sure didn’t help going back down.  There was also construction on the road.  Finally I thought about how in the movies when that stuff happens, you put it into lower gears and the transmission will slow it down.  Praise God, that worked.  God also provided a flat spot for which to come to a stop for a minute.  Only bad thing was, looking in the rear view mirror, I had cars and trucks running up behind me at 70 miles and hour.  Thank God, they figured it out and was able to go around.  I decided it wasn’t safe to stay there, so we limped along to the next exit, which again was a rest area. God is good!

I got out expecting a real mess, when in reality, a few minor scrapes and knocked off the turning light on the side of the coach.  My poor car on the other hand obviously took the brunt of it.  It looked like a teenager took it out 4 wheeling in the mud.  It also had a flat tire.

Inside the coach, McKenna didn’t even know what happened.  She was sleeping in her car seat.  I seem to remember people making fun of me because I wanted the two girls, in their car seats.  AND THIS IS WHY!  Melody was awake and I asked her if that scarred her and she just shook her head.  Unfortunately lyric was not buckled in but she held on to Melody and her car seat for dear life.

So, Bryan decides he’s flying down in the 210 plane, because the Malibu had to go back in after they got back from FL.  Fine, we waited there.  Everyone needed a break.

When Bryan arrived, the girls were so glad so see him.  He fixed the tire.  Lyric and the two little girls were going to go home in the plane.  I wanted Bryan to drive it for a bit and he said, No, it’s fine.  You can drive it, and I’ll follow behind you.

Apparently, what caused the brakes to go out on the coach, was all of my honking the horn.  They are both run by the same air thingy, so, note to self, don’t honk more than you need to!

Ok, great!  Here we go again. Barb, me and Molly!  Molly starts barking!  She’s telling me she doesn’t want to be in here.  Shut up, neither do we.  Man, she was just not having it.  So I put on the brakes, grabbed the dog, and took her out to the rental car Bryan was driving and said here you go.  (Needless to say, he wasn’t to happy with me)

Ah, it was definitely the most quiet moment we had on the trip.  Barb didn’t want me to continue driving, but I told her it’s like being thrown off a horse.  If you don’t get back on, you’ll never get on one again.  So, we go.

We drove for a while more up the road to find a place for the night.  Good night all and thank you to everyone praying over us on this trip.  God must have great things in store for us.  I love you guys, and so looking forward to getting back home, safe and sound

Day 8

Good Morning, time to get moving but the kids aren’t much into getting back on the road.  But, we did get off finally again by 11:00.  I can’t explain why we just could never get on the road before 11:00, but we couldn’t.

This day seems to be going along ok.  We started off with a full tank of gas, and it went down to a half pretty fast.  When I went to fill up again, I noticed that I didn’t put the cap back on so I assume that I’m losing gas while bumps and things.  Oops

We grabbed some lunch at Arby’s, and it wasn’t that great.  Our eating experience this trip just stunk.  Any way, poor Melody threw up, and the day went down hill from there.  It was raining again, baby’s sick.  I found a spot that we could have stayed at, but oh now, we must move forward.  Ok everybody buckle up, we are going again.  Almost dark, but we need to keep going.  Fine.

I’m sure you get the picture right now.  We got to where we stopped coming down here and parked in the same area.  The girls where going to go get some towels from Walmart, since we were able to get fresh water and dump out the bad water.  Oh that was a wonderful experience and then have to get back in to the coach and smell the puke from earlier, when we finally stopped that night, I was sick as a dog. I went to bed.  Good night

Barb and Lyric, on the other hand had to finish up the day with the girls.  While walking to Walmart to buy towels and things we needed, got soaked because it started to rain again!  Good bye Day 8

Day 7

Wow, the show ends today at noon and we need to be out of the wonderful home we rented.  We sent a lot of the extra stuff with the guys, since there wouldn’t be room in the car.

Packed up and off to the hotel to get back in the coach.  Lyric and the girls and I went over to downtown Disney while we waited for everybody to finish.  It was rainy so the vendors we tearing down early.  We were able to get driving towards home earlier than normal.

Back on the road again.  All is well, until looking ahead, it is black.  The rain quickly became a storm and its starting to pour down.   I decided that we shouldn’t drive into it, so I pulled off at the next exit, which just happened to be a rest area.  Thank God!  We put out the sliders and figured we would wait it out.

As I look out the window, what do I see, but the 3 lane highway at a stand still.  I looked on WAZE and saw that there had been an accident, just before the ramp of the rest area to get back on the freeway.  I can tell you, I knew I made the right decision to get off then.

A few minutes later, I checked again and the first accident was still in full action, but now within the next 10 miles, there were 5 more accidents.

By now, I was not going to go anywhere, much to the dismay of others who were pushing us to go forward.  Even if we did go further, the whole area was going to be stormy.  Too bad.  I’m driving, I’m staying.

We made the most of it and enjoyed the rest of the night…

Day 6

Yesterday started with an emotional roller coaster.  Bryan and Lyric took to girls to Magic Kingdom, and left Barb and I at the house to have a much needed break from the little ones.  Broke my heart, that I couldn’t go with them to Disney, but thinking back, I’ve had so many firsts, in McKenna’s life, that it wouldn’t kill me to miss that.

So a quick swim in the pool, which was wonderful.  Barb and I went to an outlet mall.  We couldn’t find a parking spot and almost left, but then we did.  We found my favorite perfume.   Yay! Walked around a bit, had lunch and by this time, time to head back to buy groceries for making dinner.

Kids all had a good time swimming in the pool.  Bryan and I thought we’d go back to the hotel to see the light show of a truck outfitted with the TowMate lights, and it was totally rained out.  Went back and went to bed.  We did manage to have a little ice cream before going to bed.  It always gives Bryan nightmares, I don’t know anyone else with that problem. The day felt like lots of driving, and going nowhere fast.

This is what I feel like since I’ve been back from New Zealand!

I really need to get motivated when we get back!  Please
