True Health

I just came across a video that is so awesome for our time.  I’ll put the link at the bottom of this post.

I titled this page true health, because you can’t have it unless you have balance in three areas of our lives.

Physical

 Emotional and Spiritual

Financial

We can go along for a while out of balance as our body goes into stress mode.  If the body stays in stress mode for too long of a time, that’s when it becomes a chronic stress.  It is that stress that starts a bad chain of reactions in the body causing all sorts of problems.

I wish someone would invent a system that could tell you when your cells would start acting against you instead of for us.

Some things are easy, it’s  pretty obvious when our financial picture starts changing.  Overdrawn charges in the checking account is a good indicator of something went terribly wrong. We can fix it pretty quickly, if it was a single mistake.  This can also become chronic, when people lose their jobs or live beyond their means for a long period of time.  Another sign is when you know all the names of the people behind the counter at the pawn shop.  Duh.  All of this dominos into chronic stress as well.

Our Emotional side shows itself when people start asking, hay are you OK?  That’s a sign!  It’s hard for your face to not give away the emotional pain your carting around.  One thing to keep in mind regarding emotional issues is that depression comes when your reality does not meet your expectations.  If you know that, it somehow helps you to deal with it better than just the feeling coming on you, and you’re unaware of what is causing it.  (That will be 150.00 dollars please? Just Kidding). I’m paying that little piece of information forward.

But the inside is not so obvious.   A way to check if your inside is off, without having to pay for a doctors appt, would be to check your ph balance.  That’s probably where things start to go haywire.  You can check that by purchasing PH Balance strips.  You can get them at health food stores.

Another sign is dark urine, which means you’re not drinking enough water.  Here’s your sign! Duh.  I was approached by a guy wanting me to buy a Kangen Water Machine like 7 years ago.  Me being me, I wouldn’t settle for the machine I could afford.  Oh no, for those of you who know me, I always have to have the best of the best and I will wait an incredibly long time till I can get what I want.  Needless to say, he gave up so I eventually purchased one from Linda and Carl Brown a year and a half ago.  They are the most wonderful people.  I can say after drinking the ionized water I am sitting at about at 7 instead of a 5 or 6.  It would be better if I could lose the coffee in the morning because it takes about 7 cups of water to flush yourself from one cup of coffee or soda.

Actually it’s about 2-3 cups in the morning, because the cups we use aren’t anything like the size our grandparents used to drink out of.  They would be shocked to see how much coffee and soda, diet or regular, we as Americans drink on a daily basis.

I gave up soda when my Grandson Kevin Nowak was born 10 years ago.  So glad I did.  I couldn’t go anywhere without a soda in my hand.  (Habits die hard though!  Now it’s my Kangen water bottle). My Mother was the same way. Since I can remember, I was drinking soda.  Whew, glad I broke that habit.  You can too, but you have to do it slowly, because otherwise you will get really bad caffeine headaches if you don’t.  I believe we are also addicted to the carbonation as well, so I started switching to Sprite, and just slowly stopping the caffeine products, and finally to just water, oh and the morning coffee.  It’s a long process, but now I don’t even miss the carbonation.  Bryan said it wasn’t my most attractive feature, because when he first met me, oh man, I could belch. I’m not proud if that, it’s just a nasty byproduct of the carbonation!  Glad to report that is gone, well occasionally, depends on what I’ve eaten.

Acid Relux is another thing that the Kangen water machine took care of and while on the water, it’s a non issue.  However, it did start to come back after about 3 weeks without the water while we were in New Zealand.  After we got back and drank the water again for a couple of weeks, it’s not bothered us again. So happy about that!

Smoking is another health issue of today.  Millions were suckered into it, as being cool.  If your as old as I am, you remember the ads selling cigarettes as sexy, and even good for you!  They are horrible, and the majority of people I know who smoke, wish they never started.  I appreciate how hard they try to quit and are rarely successful.

Smokers can’t smell what they smell like to non-smokers.  I watched my parents smoke everyday, all day. I never did.  I thank my Grandma and Grandpa for that.  We always lived within a block of my Grandparents, and I’d go there and she’d say, “oh honey, you stink.”  I knew she loved me, just not the smell.  It was enough for me that when I got old enough to make that life altering decision, I decided, no way.  If you haven’t read my other posts, my Grandma RIP, lived to be 104. Healthy as a horse, till just a couple of weeks before she died.  My Mom, not so much.  Died at 78 with many health issues along with COPD which doctors say is the new politically correct word for enphysema.  It is a horrible death I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

So to wrap this true Health post up, we only have this one body, this one life!  You write the script of your life.  You can make little changes that can collectively make huge changes on the rest of your life.  No one can do it for you.

My wish for you, no matter who you are, is that you be happy, healthy, and not having to worry about your finances everyday.  Please check out my website for more information on the water.  It is really true that if you change your water, it can change your life.  Www.alkalizingyourwater.com

Till next time…

  1. Christy. I love your blog. Need to start one myself in near future. Regarding the financial burden you spoke of, a good way to help it is this, Inspired by GOD, DaveRamsey.com/Show/findstation. Listen for a week and then decide? Take finances into YOURS AND GODS hands or in the DEVILS hands. I’m not usually this religious, but I bought the FPU course in 2011, and attended 2-3 classes of then 13 weeks. Now it is shortened to 9 weeks. Finally got my wife on board and we are in the last 2 weeks of this. Gotta Love it. That and KW.

    • Oh no, I’m so sorry about that. Bear with me, as this is a total work in progress. I must be honest here, I have no idea how to get that to stop. I will ask my friend at Learntoblog.com and if anyone reading this, is smarter than I am, please feel free to jump in and help

My bpog post; diet plan for abs

    • Hi, thanks for reading my blog. I started mine on WordPress.com it’s free. However, there are limitations by putting your blog there. Later on, I decided I wanted the freedom to do more things with it, so Learntoblog.com helped me to move my blog to hostgater.com. It was a real hassle moving it, and since I always seem to do everything the hard way, looking back, I would do it the right way to start with. Lol

      • Pops, my initial response was for someone else. This one is for you! Ok, I had it all set up to ask for subscribers and somehow, when we were fixing something else, that part got removed. Tricky things these are. So, I’m hoping you will get this, or read this and that it is now fixed. I did notice that my subscribers had fallen down to next to nothing, and I was starting to think everyone was not liking my posts anymore. Lol.

  8. It’s really a nice and useful piece off info. I am
glad that you simply shared this helpful information with us.
Please keep us informed like this. Thanks for sharing.

My blog post; panic attacks during pregnanfy (Kristen)

    • Thanks for reading my blog post. Wow, panic attacks, while pregnant. Not fun. I wonder if the baby gets upset and can feel that. Interesting question huh.? I had panic attaches and listened to a tape series, that taught me how to deal with them. Unfortunately the nice person that I am, I gave it to another who was suffering with the same thing, and never got it back. Mostly what I learned was to breathe through it and know that it will go away in a few minutes. If you start thinking you’re going to die, it makes it worse. Then start working on finding the root cause of the attacks.

  9. I know this if off topic but I’m lookinbg into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is required to

I’m not very webb savvy so I’m not 100% sure. Any suggestions or advice would bbe greatly appreciated.
    Kudos
